Since there is no school, and Brad took the day off, we decided to go hiking at the Superstition Mountains. We went to the Lost Dutchman's State Park. It was a good way to celebrate Arizona's birthday by enjoying it's beautiful scenery and mountain(s).
It felt so good to feel the cool breeze, see the majestic mountains, and the green from all the rain we have had. Getting out and enjoying the fresh air was refreshing, and I want to do this more often.
We only hiked about a mile 1 way, going up to the base of the mountain. About a mile in, Hunter was D-O-N-E. He did have a blast, but he was tired and hungry. But the other 3 did great. Cambree didn't want to go any farther either, but she was a good sport. Here are some pics from our day. And we ended this family outing at In-N-Out burger. Hunter ate-n-ate.

Sounds lovely! Your kids are looking so grown up. I hope we can see you guys sometime this year...
Wow the desert sure looks beautiful! I really wish that our family could have taken a hike yesterday...instead we were allowing time for Brody and his friend to finish a school project for half of the day. We ended up having a family bike ride instead of a hike.
Fun. Gotta love that family time. A break from the crazy schedules to reconnect. Looks like it was a wonderful day.
What a great way to spend some family time together. Hiking is so much fun. Our family is waiting to go as soon as it warms up.
The background is way cute. There are some fabulous pictures of your munchkins!!! I love the one on the rock and the one of Hunter with a rock!!!
It looks like a fun day!!!
