family camping trip 2011

We went on a camping trip with my family... my parents, siblings and family.  (Except Rob who is living in St. George).  We had a lot of fun!

We got a beautiful thunderstorm Saturday afternoon. It poured and hailed, and the thunder was loud and amazing! I'm so glad it rained while we were there, but glad it was only a couple hours!

 

Hunter did NOT like it at all, and spent most of the storm on my lap covering his ears.  

Eventually he fell asleep, with his hands still covering his ears.

 Just got to the lake, and it was so still and calm.

 There were a few kayakers with their dogs. 

I thought it was cool how their dogs rode with them.

There were a ton of butterflies up there, and all of the kids spend a lot of time chasing them, catching them and letting them go.  

 

Here is a deer that Brad and I spotted on a quad ride at dusk. We also saw some elk. I was glad, since i never end up seeing any!
